Refunds and Returns Policy for Blue Cedar Studios

At Blue Cedar Studios, we want you to be absolutely delighted with your order. This policy outlines your rights and our procedures for returns and refunds, complying with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (which cover UK Distance Selling Regulations).
Your Right to Cancel (Cooling-off Period)
As a customer purchasing from us online, you have a legal right to cancel your order for any reason, without giving a reason, within 14 calendar days from the day you receive your order. This is often referred to as a “cooling-off period.”
To exercise your right to cancel, you must clearly inform us of your decision. You can do this by emailing us: hello@bluecedarstudios.com.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it’s enough for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of Cancellation
If you cancel your contract, we will refund you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We will make the refund without undue delay, and at the latest:
- 14 days after the day we receive the order back from you, or
- (if earlier) 14 days after the day you provide evidence that you have returned the order, or
- If no order was supplied, 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract.
We will make the refund using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the refund.
Returning Your Order After Cancellation
If you have received the order before you cancel the contract, you must send the order back to us at the address provided below without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 calendar days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the order before the period of 14 days has expired.
You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the order. We recommend using a tracked and insured shipping method for returning orders, as you are responsible for the item until it reaches us.
The order must be returned in its original condition and packaging. If the order is diminished in value by your handling of it beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the goods, we may deduct an amount from the reimbursement.
Faulty or Damaged Order
We take great care in creating and packaging our orders, but in the unlikely event that your item arrives damaged or develops a fault within a reasonable timeframe, you have additional rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
If your order is faulty or damaged:
- Contact us immediately: Please email us at hello@bluecedarstudios.com within 30 days of receipt, providing details of the fault or damage and attaching clear photographs.
- We will assess the issue and may ask you to return the item. If the item is confirmed to be faulty or damaged, we will cover the cost of return postage.
- You will then have the option of a replacement (if possible) or a full refund.
Your statutory rights are not affected by this policy.
Items Not Eligible for Return
Please note, the right to cancel does not apply to:
- Goods that are made to your specifications or are clearly personalised.
