– 320gsm Smooth/Hot-Pressed Khadi Handmade Rag Paper, handmade from 100% long fibred cotton rag. It is internally sized (with a neutral pH size) and surface tub sized with gelatine.
— What is Ecoprinting? —
Ecoprinting, ecodyeing, or botanical printing is a natural dyeing process by which the colours and shapes of leaves are transferred onto paper. Leaves are layered between sheets of paper and boiled for 1 hour, which allows to natural colours in the leaves to dye the paper. I use other natural dyes, such as red cabbage, onion skins, black tea, fruit tea, iron etc. to further colour the paper.
The leaves have all been sourced responsibly from my garden and the local area.
